Using Processing, I made data visualizations that depict the lives of New World explorers. Their stories are told metaphorically through the details of a sunset. The speed of the sunset, the clouds, the wildlife, the colors, etc. are determined by the following variables: lifespan, quality of life, a quiet or tragic death, status as a liberator, status as a tyrant, and nationality.
